Jacksonville Zoo Wedding | Amanda + Joey

I've never photographed a wedding at the zoo before, and I can now say that it is SUCH a cool idea! Especially for Amanda, she's obsessed with the zoo. She was basically my tour guide while we were wandering around during portraits, telling me all about the new exhibits and animals, it was so fun to see her eyes light up walking around the area.

We had access to the zoo after hours, so we were able to go pretty much anywhere we wanted. The cocktail hour was by the giraffe exhibit (guests got to feed the giraffes!) and the reception was next to the jaguar exhibit.

Part of having their wedding at the zoo included a penguin encounter, where they were able to go into the penguin exhibit and hang out with the two penguins that live there! It was so sweet, Amanda melted into a puddle of happiness when they entered the exhibit.
