Hey hey hey! My name is Brittany, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a wedding and family photographer based in Green Cove Springs, Florida, but you already know that.
You came here for the deep stuff!
I first fell in love with photography when I was 15 years old with an old point-and-shoot that I had to keep plugged in for it to work. Thank goodness technology has improved since then! I was in my yearbook club in high school and then studied photography in college, and by the time I was about to graduate, I had figured out that my passion was photographing people in love. I’ve lived all over Jacksonville throughout my life, and now I’m in the GCS area with my husband of 9 years, our 5 year old son, and our three dogs.
MY LOVE OF THE ART
On April 24, 2015, I married the man of my dreams in Jacksonville Beach (at the stunning Casa Marina) in front of 75 of our closest friends. Greg is smart, hilarious and one of the most level-headed people I've ever met. He is truly my best friend and my other half.
B & G
Growing up, I never wanted to be a mom to anyone other than dogs. Turns out, Greg and I actually made the coolest little kid I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Owen is obsessed with all things nature and animals (he’s rescued a lizard and a frog from my car for me), he would go to the pool every single day of the year if I let him, and he has the biggest empathetic heart a 5 year old can have. Since he was born, I’ve always strived to make sure he knew his opinion matters, and that his parents are in his corner, and I feel like it really shows in his personality and the way he interacts with others. All that being said, motherhood is HARD, y’all. It is the hardest and most rewarding job I’ll ever have. If you’re a parent, whether your kid is 3 or 13 or 23, you know what I mean.
MOTHERHOOD
(Sadie is not pictured because she’s old and cant be bothered to be in a picture)
Our home would not be complete without all of the fur flying around it, and we have Sadie, Zest, and Chianti to thank for that.
Sadie was my 18th birthday present, so she is currently dubbed Old Lady Sadie. She’s a 16 years old Maltese/Poodle mix, and her favorite thing to do is sleep next to Zest and bark in the wrong direction of the thing everyone else is barking at.
Zest came into our lives when we realized we could adopt dogs who have dropped out of a service dog program. He is a 5 year old black lab who thinks he’s smaller than the 90 pounds he actually is, and he’s afraid of things he shouldn’t be afraid of, such as garbage cans. He is the goodest boy in the world with a borderline-unhealthy obsession for playing fetch.
We loved this idea of adopting service-dog dropouts so much that we did it again and got our 1 year old golden retriever named Chianti. She loves to wrestle with Zest, fall asleep in the middle of the area I’m working in, and considers socks and rocks to be tasty snacks.
