Casa Marina Wedding | Allie + Ryan

I’m baaaack!

Exactly 3 months after I had Owen, I left him with my mom and headed to Casa Marina for my first wedding back from my self-appointed maternity leave. When I arrived at the hotel, I met with Allie and her bridesmaids where they were getting ready in the bridal suite. They were laughing, taking selfies, and keeping the overall feeling light and fun before the ceremony. Allie had an air of confidence and grace about her, and even though she said she had never had professional photos taken before, she seemed to be a natural in front of the camera.

Meanwhile, Ryan was upstairs at the hotel, hanging out with his guys and taking it easy before the ceremony.

The ceremony was short and sweet, but definitely full of love and passion. Ryan’s uncle was the person who married them, which was such a sweet sentiment.

Between the ceremony and reception is usually where I whisk my couples away to the nearest pretty spot to take some romantic photos after taking some fun photos of them with their bridal party. On this day, the light was exactly where I wanted it, and the dunes made for such a gorgeous twist on the traditional “beach photos”.

After the first dance, to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, and a yummy Casa Marina dinner, their wedding guests really showed that they knew how to party on the dance floor! Side note: their flower girl is the cutest thing and she was the life of the party.

They ended with a sparkler exit which lit up the beachside night. Congratulations, Allie and Ryan!
